Principal Message
Greetings, Ride Families!
The fourth grade musical showcase was amazing last night. Our challenger are learning beyond the basic fourth grade musical requirements by learning multiple instruments and creating their own music scores. I thought the songs the kids presented were songs/music that they learned from Mrs. Dimas. But after learning that each class actually created their own music, I was even more impressed. Thank you for supporting Sally K. Ride and the fine arts department. Research shows they have a huge impact on student achievement and success.
We are also excited that the 3rd and 4th graders will be able to show what they have learned this year and the previous years through the STAAR test. The kids have been working hard all year and are ready!! This weekend is a great time to get plenty of rest and practice some positive affirmations with your kids. "You are ready, Your can do this", etc...
This is the time of year we start planning for next year. It is very important for us if you could please complete the Returning Student Form. Your information helps us determine if we will need additional teachers. If we do need additional teachers, we would like to do it sooner than later so will will be prepared for a great start to the new school year.
