Happy Back to School!

It was a busy two weeks in the library! We began orientation for students through the ELA department and started circulation on the first day of school!

Library Orientations

As of Friday, August 31, TWENTY-NINE ELA classes have had their library orientations, and have been having a blast competing in our Library Kahoot! Shoutout to the ELA Department for collaborating!

The Library IS OPEN during Excel!

We are allowing students to visit the library during Excel, but please only one student at a time per class as to keep congestion to a minimum. Thanks, Tigers!
Big picture

Libraries for all!

AISD Libraries has teamed up with the Austin Public Library to get all students access to APL Resources! "This collaboration will diminish the access divide, improve education outcomes, and build community. Library cards will allow students to connect with homework help, books, movies, research materials, games and more. (@austinisd tweet 8/24/18)" Applications have been sent home through ELA classes and are due on Tuesday, September 4.

About the Library

We currently have 13,408 books in our collection, not including E-books in MackinVia and Overdrive. The Library's Twitter and Instagram handles are @gorzyckilibrary. Give us a follow!
