Our Promise
Every student in Dallas School District is known by name, strength, and need, and graduates ready for career, college, and community.
Making sense of learning, a student perspective.
One of the scenes that made me mad, sad and glad all at the same time is linked below. Dolores Umbridge takes over the Dark Arts class and wants to standardize and control the learning environment (mad) in which the young wizards struggle to make sense out of this new style (sad).
I am always wondering how we help students make sense of the learning activities in which we ask them to participate. I hope this helps bring to light the importance of creating authentic learning experiences for our kids (glad).
Have a great week! Glad you're here!
