Deener Super Heroes

This year, Deener students will be participating in celebrating our students that are showing good character! A person's character is the summation of his/her habits, attitudes, and attributes. We will be recognizing the following traits: helpfulness, engaged (Doing their work), responsibility, and being on time to school.
Students can be given a Super Hero card by any staff member and then it will be dropped into their grade level box. Each Friday at lunch we pull out names for a chance to win a prize and get their pictures taken. We will be on the lookout and recognizing students who represent these traits!

Deener Volunteers!

We would love to have our parents and families volunteer at Deener. The Searcy School District requires that our volunteers attend a short training which we can provide at our school. There are some forms and a background check that will need to be completed. Once you have completed these steps our central office will send you a letter notifying you about your volunteer status. Please call our office if you have any questions. We LOVE our parent/family volunteers!

Football Games - Please review with our students!

Elementary students will need to sit in the stands and be supervised by an adult. There are serious safety concerns with students playing in areas with no adult supervision. Additionally, elementary students CAN NOT be dropped off at ballgames unless there is an adult accompanying them to the ball game. This is another serious safety issue for a young child to be in a large public setting with no adult supervision. Our students' safety is our number one priority and we want all guests and fans to be able to enjoy the ballgames. Thank you for your support!

Note from Principal

Thank you to all our families for helping us have such a great start to the school year. It is truly a joy to spend each day with my school family! Our theme this year is Be The One. This means Be The One to have a positive attitude, Be the One to help others, Be The One that does all their work, Be The One that makes good choices..... We are focusing on making positive choices at school.
