From the Board
We hope you had a great summer! Centerville Elementary PTA is pleased to welcome back returning families and open the doors to our new students. Our officers for 2019-2020 are: President - Brooke Faulkner, VP1 - Ashleigh Duclos, VP2 - Tracy Hayat, Secretary - Nicolle Spitulnik & Treasurer - Ashley Sowers. We are proud to serve alongside an amazing group of parent volunteers and our wonderful teachers and staff.
CES PTA relies upon the support and membership of CES families to provide meaningful events, activities and technology for our school throughout the year. We encourage you to join the PTA! Becoming a member is easy and you are not obligated to volunteer for anything. Joining the PTA is one of the best ways to demonstrate your commitment to your child’s education. We welcome members to attend general membership PTA meetings held throughout the year. Please return a completed membership form and dues to your child’s teacher in order to join.
We know this is a very busy time of year for everyone and we want to make sure parents are plugged in to all the upcoming events and activities taking place at Centerville. Please make a point to sign up for the following communications to ensure you are kept up to date on school events.

Our school is a Box Tops for Education school, which means that we ask students to clip Box Tops off of any participating products you may purchase and bring them to the school to raise money for anything that the school may need. Last year we raised just over $1,500 with about 200 students participating! This year our goal is $2,000 with everyone participating! You are welcome to send Box Tops in at any time during the year. There is a plastic container in the foyer of the school labeled BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION. Box Tops can be placed in this container or given to their teachers. Each year our school does two Box Tops campaigns, once in October and once in February. Our October Box Top campaign will run OCTOBER 7th - OCTOBER 25th. NEW THIS YEAR, physical Box Tops are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. Please send in your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired clips you may have at home. Since physical Box Tops are being phased out, download the ALL-NEW Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school's Box Tops Earnings online. download the Box Top for Education App and start scanning your receipts in for Box Tops! Download the all new app here: https://www.boxtops4education.com/
If you have any questions or would be willing to help count the Box Tops during the campaigns, please email email@example.com. Thank you for clipping (and scanning!) for our CES Stars!
