How the Wolves Changed the Rivers!
I know we have seen this video, but I wanted to show it again and have you ponder the following: Can you imagine how a pack of Wolves can change the rivers? How is this possible? What changes can we make if we work as a PACK of Lobos? Can we change Hackberry? LEISD? Little Elm Community? Education as a whole? I think so...
The power lies not in the Wolf, but in the Pack. One Wolf/Lobo does not have the power to change the rivers, but as a Pack they were able to accomplish great things! We too can accomplish great things if we work whole heartedly in the PACK. Think about the little changes we have made this school year as it pertains to PLC and how it has helped the quality of instruction. We did not add more time to our classes, we simply changed the way we planned and it increased the quality of our instruction.
As we continue to grow NOT as Wolves, but as a Pack, so will our students. I'm proud of the growth at Hackberry and thankful for each member of the PACK ! Keep Howling!
Countdown the 10 BIG Ideas from the Carpenter!
#4- Our Purpose is Greater than Our Challenges
Don’t just have a mission statement. “Be” the mission.
Via The Carpenter: A Story About the Greatest Success Strategies of All:
“You need to dig down and love deeper, server greater, and care more. The love of what you are building has to be greater than the challenges you face. Serve greater! Become a mighty servant who serves in small ways, big ways, and sideways. Serve everyone as if they are the only person on the planet. And care more. Care so much that you care enough for everyone.”
The trick is to find the purpose that inspires you to be the mission.
I love, serve, and care because __________ (you fill in the blank.)
