One of the main questions I get is "how do I get a scholarship?" The most important thing to remember is that scholarships are not going to come to you, you have to be aggressive in finding them. Local scholarships are a great source of college money and most DO NOT require an ACT score. These have been posted so far and there will be many more to come! Apply today! All of these can be found on the counseling website under "Local Scholarships 2018".

Going to college? Have you completed your FAFSA? As of today only 92 seniors at PCCHS have completed their FAFSA. This is FREE money for college! My questions to you would be, what are you waiting on? Priority deadline for FAFSA is March 1. What that means is that money will run out after that date and will not be available. Get it done today! ACT Work Keys Testing for all seniors

Wednesday, Feb. 21st, 7:45am

ACT WorkKeys consists of three elements:

* Applied Math

* Graphic Literacy

* Workplace Documents

All seniors that score silver or higher on all three parts will be exempt from their semester exams, with the exception being AP exams.

At an average cost of attendance rounding out at about 4,300, Alabama's Community Colleges back a big bang for their buck. Some offer housing so you can live on campus while you attend. All have courses that will transfer to Alabama's Four Year College System. Most all four year colleges offer transfer scholarships for students that complete two years at a Community College in Alabama. Alabama's Community Colleges differ in their scholarships. Most all offer academic, technical and performing arts.
