Greg Tang's New Year's Math Challenge
Check out Greg Tang's New Year's Math Challenge at this link! During the break, students can go to gregtangmath.com to complete the activities on the attached game board. Every child has a game board that they can complete over break if they'd like to! This is a fun way to make time for problem solving over vacation.
Play Math Games with Your Family
Play some math games (using the tools in your Home Math Box) with people in your family! If you don't have the gameboards, you can find them on our classroom website. Just click on the button below to find them!
Write and Share Math Problems for Others to Solve
Think about some great math stories. Write problems about them that others would like to solve using addition, subtraction and multiplication. Add the problems to our Google Slide Show (one problem per slide, please). Then solve some of your classmates' problems!
Hour of Code
Visit code.org for lots of coding activities! Everyone is familiar with this site as we used it for Hour of Code last week.
Kidblog!
Visit our classroom Kidblog page and write some blog posts to tell us about all of the things you are doing over Winter Break. And don't forget to read your friends' posts and make comments!
Read!
Winter Break is a great time to catch up on reading. Read the books from the classroom library or visit the Dublin Library over break. You might also want to visit sites like Kidsreads to read reviews on books you might like to read in the future. And don't forget all the online reading sites like Big Universe and Pebble Go.
Share Your Reading on Our Class Padlet!
Add your reading to our class Padlet to share with classmates over break. Then check the Padlet to get recommendations from others.
