Trauma Tidbits
Ruby Payne - Emotional Poverty:
- It is difficult to change behavior, but it's possible to change the motivation behind the behavior.
- It is not possible to be compassionate and angry at the same time. You are either moving toward something or moving away from something.
- Adults have to reframe it. Think - This is not a disrespect issue. Know you are looking at a child whose brain is not regulated.
