The Dedication, Hope, and Promise
It was one year ago this week that we reopened our doors at Fletcher Elementary School to a limited number of students and staff. Our teachers were educating students in person and those following along at home at the same time. Now we can open our campus to our families! On Thursday, April 28th we're hosting our first Open House in two years! The fun will start at 5:00PM. Families will have the opportunity to have coffee with the Principal, visit classroom showcases, and meet with community partners. More info can be found below.
This week was an incredible celebration of the year-long metamorphosis on campus. We finally broke free of the cocoon and spread our wings. The mural dedication on Wednesday marked this achievement with words of hope from our students, artist, Nazanin Amiri-Meers, and Principal. Area 3 Superintendent, Christina Casillas, members of the ArtReach board of directors, and families joined together in our first public event of the year.

Student of the Week - Elias!
This week's Student of the Week is Elias in Mrs. Quaal's (formerly known as Ms. Monge) class. Elias is such a character! He has a great personality, always has a smile on his face, and brings joy to the class community. He also works really hard in class, he is an example for his peers, and often helps others when they need it. Elias loves to participate in class and learn, and especially loves to show off his skills when we play Kahoot.
Congratulations Elias, and thank you for being a phenomenal Falcon!
