Principal's Message
We have an amazing community here at Jepson that has rallied around our families that were impacted by the LNU Lightning Complex Fires. Because of your Jaguar generosity, we have been able to not only support our Jaguar families but also our extended Vacaville Unified families from schools like Orchard Elementary, Hemlock Elementary, and Ernest Kimme. As the weeks go by, we will continue to support our Jaguar community that was impacted by the fires because we will continue to be #VacaStrong!
As we dive into our third week of school, we have provided some information and updates in our newsletter to support everyone with Virtual Learning!
Best,
Ana Farina

Lunch News
- Starting on Tues. Sept. 1st, Jepson will no longer be a location to pick up the daily lunch. We will instead be distributing a 5 day Meal Box on Wednesday from 6 AM - 9 AM. The Meal Box will contain 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. The cost is $26.25 per box. For students on free and reduced lunch there will be no charge. If you are interested in a daily lunch instead these will still be available, but only at Alamo, Fairmont, Padan, Callison and Markham. So, the first meal box distribution will be this Wednesday, Sept. 2nd at Jepson. See flyer below.
Trouble Logging into Zoom?
Video on or Off While Using Zoom?
We encourage our students that do not feel comfortable leaving their video on to reach out to their teachers and do check-ins with them in an effort to not only build relationships, but also to get any clarification they may need.
Attendance Matters!
If your student is absent from synchronous instruction, you will receive an automated call. Please contact Gail Fay, our attendance secretary, gailf@vacavilleusd.org or call 707-453-6284, to verify absences. Please also try to schedule appointments outside of your student's synchronous instruction. If your child has to miss school due to an appointment, please ask the provider for a note and send us the note so we can excuse the absence. We know that at times we will encounter technical difficulties beyond our control. If your student is unable to log into Zoom, please contact our office and we will assist you.

Student Emergency Information
It is important that the parent(s) of each student create and update their Parent Portal information as this serves as the "emergency card" for VUSD students. The parent portal offers a secure and convenient way to access and update your child’s information online.
The parent portal allows parents to:
- View your student's teacher for the school year
- View and update their child’s emergency contact information
- Update student medical information
- View standardized test scores and elementary report cards
- View attendance information in real time
- View the VUSD Annual Parent Notification
- Complete the annual release acknowledgement and permission requirements
To set up your portal, click here with the following information (your email will include your unique log-in needs):
- A valid email address
- Your student's ID number
- Your primary telephone number registered with the school
- A verification code
Contact the office if you need your child's verification code.
