Halloween is Monday, October 31st!

We love Halloween at Wilson! On Monday, October 31st you may wear a costume to school. However, there are a few guidelines:

  1. Students may wear facial makeup. Make-up needs to be applied before coming to school and should not cover the entire face or make it difficult to recognize the student.
  2. Costumes should be appropriate and not depict gangs, horror characters, or inappropriate individuals/topics.
  3. Costumes may NOT include any weapons. Students may not bring props that replicate guns, knives, or weapons of any kind.
  4. Shoes must be safe. (Regular dress code applies: no flip flops, slippers, open toed, or high heels).
  5. Students may not wear masks that cover their face. Masks may be brought to school and worn on top of the student’s head, but not covering their face. (There will be a “best mask” category during the PE costume contest.
  6. Costumes should not affect the instructional day. If your costume will make it difficult for you to sit in class, please be sure to be able to remove the costume during class time.

For full guidelines, click here.

Rules Reminder

Do not ever climb any of the fences around school! If your ball goes over the fence, if the gate is locked at the end of the day, if you're too lazy to walk around... DO NOT CLIMB THE FENCE, ask and adult for help instead! It is very dangerous to climb fences and there will be consequences if you do.

Digital Citizenship Tip of the Week!

Double-check your photos before you post them on the internet. Be sure your photos don’t show your house address, street name, license plate number, school name, or anything that could be used to find your location.

Chromebook Tip of the Week!

Please don’t eat or drink around the Chromebook. Crumbs can get under the keys and prevent them from working. Sticky substances can work themselves under the keys and make them sticky and unreliable. Spilled liquids on or around the Chromebook can short out the motherboard and break the device completely.

Visit the Wilson Student Help Corner Website where you can find video tutorials answering your frequently asked questions about apps used in your classrooms. We also have tutorials in Armenian and Spanish.

Morning Call!

Every morning our amazing school band plays our morning call! This year our song was written by our very own Mr. Graziani, based on the famous quote by Mark Twain. Below are the lyrics for this amazing song and we would love for you to join us in singing during first period.

It’s Never Wrong To Do the Right Thing

It’s Never Wrong

to do the right thing

And every morning

we’re gonna sing.

With love, don’t you know,

You’re gonna reap just what you sow*.

It’s Never Wrong

to do the right thing

*You reap what you sow is a proverb that says future consequences are inevitably shaped by

present actions.
