Band T-shirts - Gandy Ink Online Store

Band t-shirts will be purchased through Gandy Ink again this year. The store will be live from Friday, Sept. 3-19. Please make sure to order your child's shirt then. Band t-shirts will be required as part of the informal uniform for specific events. If you need assistance with getting your child a shirt, please email Mrs. May.

Cookie Dough Delivery - Thursday, October 7th (3:30-4:30pm)

Students need to report to the cafeteria after school on Thursday, October 7th to pick up their cookie dough. Students with large orders will need a parent pick for this day. All orders must be picked up by 4:30pm as the band directors do not have the ability to store frozen items at school.

Wii Dance Party - Friday, October 22nd

Since the band exceeded the band director's goal of raising $5,000.00 from the cookie dough fundraiser the band directors are giving the entire band program a Wii dance party during band classes on Friday, October 22nd. Students will be able to bring a clear drink and snacks to enjoy during the class while we take turns playing Wii Just Dance (controls will be sanitized in between each player). We look forward to celebrating this amazing achievement and the opportunities it will provide for our students and program! Thank you to everyone for their donations and/or fundraising efforts!

Band Socials & WMS Football Game have been cancelled until further notice

We understand that not having socials and attending a WMS football game is not ideal, we also need to balance the rising cases on our campus. As of last week, Wilson had the highest amount of cases for any middle school in PISD. We feel at this time we need to suspend any extra/non-curriculum based events until things slow down. We are looking into rescheduling our skate night for November and adding an extra social next semester as well. We hope everyone understands that our first priority is the safety of our students and staff. Please feel free to email or call if you have any questions or concerns.

Band Fees

Band Fees are uploaded and ready to be paid. Please see the link below for directions on how to pay. If you do not see your child's band fee, please email Mrs. May at kristin.may@pisd.edu.

A reminder about the two types of fees:

  • Band Binder supply fee - paid by all
  • Instrument Usage fee - paid by students that use a PISD instrument at home and/or at school

PISD Instrument Usage Contract

If your student is using a PISD issued instrument, you will need to complete an instrument contract. Please click the button below to fill out that form. Your child will not be able to take their at-home instrument until that form is complete.

Private Lessons!

Plano ISD requires students who use district-owned instruments to pay a yearly $85 fee to help cover the costs of cleaning and normal wear and tear. Reduced fees are already calculated in the system if your child receives free/reduced lunch. Due to COVID the district is only allowing the fee to be paid online via Rycor (same system used for lunch payment). If you do not see your child's fee, please email Mrs. May. If you need special arrangements email Mrs. May.
