It's good to be back!

The first week back from break has been wonderful. The students and staff got back into the swing of things quickly and we all got back to learning. I hope that you enjoy the pictures of our students and staff in action. As the semester quickly comes to a close for our 7th and 8th graders, please keep checking into Skyward and the Skyward calendar for any upcoming assignments and tests.

Penny Wars

Next week, our Student Senate is hosting a Penny War to raise money for an orphanage in the South Sudan. Former Superintendent Mark Flynn is doing mission work at this orphanage in Africa and is actually going to be speaking with all of our students at Wednesday morning's assembly. The money that we raise will be going to school supplies and shoes, both of which are in great demand at this orphanage. If you are interested, here is a link to Mr. Flynn's blog for more information.

Attention 8th grade families!

Over the next two weeks, two important events will occur to help prepare our 8th graders and their families for Arrowhead. On Wednesday, January 13th, the Arrowhead counselors will be visiting Merton to discuss options for classes at the high school. This will occur during 5th hour (12:22-1:03) so please make sure your child is in attendance if at all possible. On Wednesday, January 20th, there is a Freshmen Orientation at Arrowhead in the South Campus Library at 6:30. Please see the Mustang Memo for further details.
