Field Trip Monday
Remember to dress your child for the weather, we will be outside most of the day. This includes proper shoes for walking in farm fields & jacket if necessary. Send a sack lunch with your child's name on it. Everything must be disposable. I sent home a paper sack with gold paper reminder last Thursday.
Social Studies / Science
Social Studies: We will have a guest speaker, Firefighter Scott, on Tuesday. We will learn all about fire safety and stranger danger. Science: Students will explore pumpkins!
Reading/ Language Arts
We will start unit 3 week one. We will read the story,"How Do Dinosaurs Go to School?" Students will also learn the initial /i/ sound. Our word this week is "to" and we will continue to focus on asking and answering questions that include key details.
Math
We will begin the third unit in Everyday math series. We will continue to build our counting skills as we practice Calendar, Chomputation & make patterns with macaroni necklaces!
Writing- we will practice sentence fluency as we write about our field trip & firefighter Scott.
Specials class this Wednesday will be a Thursday rotation.
Book fair will be this week when your child goes to library. You might also want to stop by the library when you come to school for parent teacher conferences.

Attention Parents:
-Field trip, Monday to Tuttle's
-Book fair runs Monday-Thursday this week. They will be open until 7:15 on Wednesday and 7:30 on Thursday.
-Homework due Friday, October 9th. There won't be homework over fall break.
-Parent/ Teacher conferences are October 7th and 8th. You should get reminders via email.
-Fall break starts October 12th
