A Word From Our Assistant Principal, Ms. Kirgan
Talking to Our Kids About Violence in the News
Dear JRLP Families,
As a school, we are deeply saddened by the most recent outbreaks of gun-violence experienced by schools and other establishments around our country during this past week. Our hearts and thoughts are with members of each community and family impacted by these events.
The physical and emotional safety of our JRLP students is a top priority for us. We want to reassure our school community that there are resources in place to help both you as a parent/guardian as well as your child. JRLP is here to help support the difficult conversations that you or your child might initiate when tragedy occurs. Please know that you can always reach out to a counselor, administrator or teacher for support during difficult times. The following article offers guidance and helpful tips on how to broach difficult topics with our young ones. We hope you find it helpful.
Very Sincerely,
Your JRLP Counseling Team

Panorama Grade 6 - 12, Student Survey, Family Notification Letter 2022-23 School Year
Dear Families:
Panorama Education is a company who conducts student and family surveys in schools and districts across the country. Jeffco Remote Learning will be giving students the Panorama student survey in the coming months.
Content. The Panorama student survey gathers information on the following:
· School Belonging
· School Climate
· School Engagement
· School Teacher-Student Relationships
· School Rigorous Expectations
· School Safety
· Math Identity
You may review the survey questions by visiting this link.
The results are compiled into aggregate-level school climate reports. These reports are used by district leaders and school staff to help maintain the positive aspects of our schools and to address individual student needs.
It is Voluntary. Your child does not have to take the student survey. Students who participate only have to answer the questions they want to answer and they may stop taking the survey at any time.
It is Confidential. No students will be identified in any public reports or publications. Individual student information (name, student number, school and grade) will be uploaded into the Panorama system. District staff will have access to the data file. Responses are confidential and identifiable. Individual student data may be shared with school staff to provide instructional and social emotional support.
Timing: The survey will be administered January 30 - March 3, 2023. It will take about 30-45 minutes.
The student survey will open on Monday, January 30 and can be completed at this link. Jeffco's IT department is pushing the student survey link to student and school devices this week. Students will need to log in with their student number to take the survey.
Opt - Out: If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, you may contact Karen Parker at karen.parker@jeffco.k12.co.us
