Message from Dr. Burns!
June 8, 2020
Dear KMS Families
We had an amazing day on Friday distributing cheers, joy, awards & certificates and celebratory Moving Up lawn signs to all of our students homes across Bristol + Warren. Thank yous to our fabulous PTO and all of the teachers who volunteered!
If you did not receive your awards & certificates, no worries!!! We will also be having an 8th Grade celebratory parade on Wednesday, June 17 from 8 to 10 at KMS. See details below.
All families, please note the following:
This week is our last week of formal instruction and Thursday, June 11 at 2:00pm is the final day students may submit work to teachers. Please be aware that we must hold this date so teachers and administrators have the report cards ready for you on June 18.
Student Pick-Up and Drop-Off Day will take place by grade level over a three day period with a fourth day for families who cannot make it on their scheduled day*. Below is the schedule we ask families to follow. Students/parents will meet KMS staff outside the building to drop off their materials and collect the personal items left in school lockers. Personal items have been collected, bagged, and labeled with the students name. We need to follow the given schedule to limit the number of people on school grounds in order to provide the required social distancing of 6 feet. Any personal items not collected during this week will be donated to charity or disposed of.
* Families with students in multiple grades may pick up/drop off belongings for all of their children on their scheduled time.
** DO NOT RETURN YOUR CHROMEBOOK- Chromebooks will be used again next year.
***BAND INSTRUMENTS: Please be advised that Thursday’s “Band Instruments 12 - 1:30” time frame is ONLY for those students who need repairs or who are NOT continuing with band in our school district in the fall. We do not collect student instruments over the summer. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Brackett or Mrs. Labonte
Have a great week!
Dr. Burns

BWRSD Online Tech Support for Families
Please continue to email BWRSDTech@BWRSD.org for support during this time of Distance Learning. The email account is accessible 24 hours per day, and you can expect a response within 1 school day. The most common issue for not being able to access apps such as STEMscopes is that they may not be going in through CLEVER or that families need to have students login to the Chrome browser with their BWRSD credentials. Here are directions.
If you have a broken device please email BWRSDTech@bwrsd.org.
