Start with Hello

Start With Hello Week - Sandy Hook Promise - raises awareness about social isolation and educates students on how to prevent it through: Start With Hello trainings, awareness, and activities.

Finley-Oates students took part in this culture of inclusion last week.

  • Monday - Just Say Hello. The goal was to greet everyone they came in contact with on Monday. Students started the day with the BHS cheerleaders saying "Hello" during morning drop off.
  • Tuesday - Green to GO out of their way to be a good friend and show support of the "Start with Hello" campaign.
  • Wednesday - Random Acts of Kindness". Some of the students wrote notes to show appreciation for others.

  • Friday - Super Hero Day. Students wore their favorite superhero t-shirt.
