Updates

Lockdown drill/fire drill on Friday, 2/26

The lockdown drill was very efficient. All students from the playground were inside of classrooms in less than 30 seconds. Thank you for your assistance as we practice our emergency procedures!

Change to OLF gr.3-5 assembly start time on 3/8: Assembly starts at 1:30. Grades 1-3 please take your recess at 1:15-1:30 on this date. Thank you!

Report Cards

This time of the year is so busy! Take this Wednesday to work on report cards. You can work with your grade level team or on your own.

Report card reminders from Lyndsey:

Please have grades entered into Illuminate and report cards printed by March 11th so they can be handed out during conference week. 4th and 5th grade Teachers: Please do not print report cards before March 9th. PE and Music teachers have until the end of the day on March 8th to enter in their grades.

New Abstract Hopscotch

Art Escape received a grant, affiliated with Superbowl 50, to give kids the opporutunity to be more physically active. The grant was given so they could place a design on the new sidewalk on Highway 12. But, because the sidewalk hasn't been poured and there have been delays in the permitting process, Art Escape decided to approach Flowery as a site for the design. I gave them a resounding YES! Jill Valavanis along with Liam Handron helped install the design on Saturday. Take a look! I am grateful for the continued partnership with community organizations like Art Escape!

Talent Show

We had a great turn out last week for Talent Show auditions. The parent leaders Brenda Kracke and Martina Routhier are awesome for stepping up to the plate. It's a learning process as we all know so please be patient as they work out practices, schedules, communication etc. Fortunately, we've got Bob Gossett as a consultant to the entire endeavor. If you have any questions about Talent Show, you can email Brenda brendakracke@yahoo.com or Martina at tinap76@yahoo.com
