Cool Cat News
Principal Brief
December 4-8
Cool Cats,
We had a great week back! The students were focused and ready to learn. Our PLC leaders attended the PLC Leadership Academy this week. As we head into the second semester think about how your team can renew your commitment to PLC's. As a team, look back at your past agendas and think about what you would like to keep, drop and add to your PLC's for the second semester. How are your students performing? What interventions are you using? Is your team unpacking the IFD and reflecting on rigor?
"Organizations are most effective when people throughout the organization are clear regarding its fundamental purpose . PLC's should be collaborative and a place where teachers talk to each other about teaching."
If you are interested in attending the PLC Conference in Ft. Worth this summer, please let me know.
Monday- Wednesday, Vanessa and I will be attending the Learning Forward Conference. Please email or call us if you need anything. If there is a discipline issue that is not urgent, please wait until we get back. Kara B. will be the administrator on duty Monday and Tuesday and Angela H will be helping out on Wednesday.
Please remember to wear your Ritzy accessories on 12/6 for Drop Everything and Relate Day! We are providing cocoa and cookies for K-4 during DEAR time! Building relationships is the most important thing we do at Hartman. There are three things that students want from their teachers: 1) To enjoy their job, 2) to be excited about the lesson, and 3) to love the kids. DEAR time on Wednesday is all about loving your students and taking a moment to relate!
Your PROUD principal,
