Wolverine Weekly
Sibley East Elementary - December 6-10, 2021
12 Days of December Fun!
Please stay tuned for information from your child's homeroom teacher regarding the theme for Wednesday, December 22nd. Enjoy!
Wolverine PRIDE Tickets & School Store
I mention in the video that one of the things kids can do with their Wolverine PRIDE Tickets will be to use it as money to spend in our school store (we'll have a store at the end of February and again in May). As a result, we are accepting donations for our school store. Items can be new or very gently used. Below are a few examples of what we're looking for:
- Small toys such as Hot Wheels cars and yo-yos
- Pencils, pens, and other art utensils
- Books and coloring books
- Nail polish and bracelets
- Stuffed animals
- Fidget toys
- Pokemon cards
Donations can be dropped off in the office starting Monday!
Please Help Remind - Mask Up on the Bus!
5th Grade Only - Eagle Bluff Trip Accounts
Below are my recommendations for depositing money into your child's Eagle Bluff Trip account. Please note you are able to deposit additional money at any time.
- By December 22 - Total of $60 in account.
- By January 31 - Total of $100 in account.
- By February 28 - PAID IN FULL ($128/person)
Any time you send money to school with your child, please be sure to send it in an envelope labeled with your child's name and "EAGLE BLUFF" clearly written on the envelope. Checks can be made payable to: Sibley East.
Many of the upcoming fundraising opportunities require families to sign-up. Please do so by visiting the website: bit.ly/3EUHtwN. At this time we are asking students to sign up for only two (2) events.
If you have any questions, please contact me at (507)237-3323 or amanda.feterl@sibleyeast.org.
REPEAT ANNOUNCEMENTS
Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures
We have two major goals with afternoon pick-up: 1) Student safety and 2) Efficiency
As you can see in the image below, our designated pick-up area is the four (4) spaces adjacent to the playground/blacktop. Students will remain on the blacktop area until their vehicle is in one of the four pick-up zones.
Of course, families are welcome to park their vehicle in the parking lot and then walk over to the sidewalk to retrieve their student as well. However, due to student safety, please understand that we will not send an unaccompanied child over to a parked vehicle.
If you could share this information with grandparents or other relatives that will be picking your student up on occasion, we would sure appreciate it.
Brrr...It's Cold!
We will have outside recess unless the temperature/wind chill drops below 0 degrees. Below is a helpful guide!
If you are in need of winter gear for your student(s), please contact Mrs. Halverson at michelle.halverson@sibleyeast.org
