First, you must:

Read chapters 1-2 with the group out loud.

Read chapter 3 with a partner in paired reading (Mrs. Malone will choose your partner and model this for you to show you exactly how it will look).

Next, you may choose 3 questions to answer in COMPLETE sentences.

1. Who are Mr. and Mrs. Yarby and why did they come to visit?

2. Peter's father, Mr. Hatcher, works in advertising and helps make commercials. What does this mean? Who is his biggest client?

3. The visit with the Yarby family did not go well. Explain in a full paragraph why it was not successful.

4. Fudge seems to be pretty mischievous. Explain in a full paragraph what this means and give examples of why this adjective applies to Fudge.

Finally you may choose 1 of these activities.

1.Draw a cartoon to show the main events of the first three chapters. You must have 6 boxes and a caption for each box.

2. Create an advertisement for Juicy O on plain white paper (not a commercial a printed ad). You must have a slogan.

3. Make a list of all the trouble Fudge has gotten himself into so far. You must have at least 6 items on your list.

BONUS: ONLY TO BE COMPLETED ONCE MRS. MALONE HAS CHECKED YOUR WORK

Draw the most vivid image you saw in your mind as you were reading the first three chapters.

You may use colored pencils or crayons. You need to be neat and include lots of detail.
