Class of 2021 Senior Privileges
As the last few months of your high school career come to an end, it is important to know that the Administration at Eagan High School has been working with the Senior Representatives to plan the many end-of-year senior events. One of these events is the earning of “Senior Privileges “in the last few weeks of the school year. In the past along with other awesome privileges, seniors were allowed during this time to participate in catered meals during lunch We have had to work closely with our district’s COVID-19 Safety Team to consider safety protocols as we plan for the end of the year. We are excited to inform you that at this point we have been given permission to have three meals catered in.
Seniors school "in person" will have the opportunity to order lunch from Chick-fil-A, Jersey Mikes, and Raising Canes. Unfortunately, "digital" seniors and those that do not have a 5th-hour class at EHS (Digital or Post-Secondary Learners) will not be allowed to participate in this given health and safety reasons. The meals will be prepackaged for safety and sanitary reasons. All meals will need to be eaten during your assigned lunch period.
Below is the list with specific dates, prices, and menu items.
May 21 - Chick-fil-A
$9 - Chicken Sandwich/Chips/Cookie
May 27 - Jersey Mikes
$9 - Sandwich/Chips/Cookie

MCA Testing in April on Wednesdays
We now will move forward with MCA testing for the month of April. We made the decision to avoid disrupting classes any more than we have to. So, we will be using Wednesdays in April to get the Sophomores and Juniors finished with MCA's (April 28- Math for 11th graders). The tests are not required this year, but we encourage our students to take these tests as we use the test results to help our school determine programming. If you would like more information please click on the MCA info page.

Earth Month Challenge
Our school has registered to participate in the USAgain Earth Month Challenge National clothes and shoes collection contest. It is a great opportunity for our school as we can increase our quarterly earnings from the program, take this action in support of Earth Day and get competitive to win one of the national cash prizes that are being awarded to the schools that collect most during the 30-day push!
Our planet has finite resources and cannot support the linear consumption model that is extracting virgin resources to manufacture products that are only used once or twice before they are land-filled or incinerated. Instead, we need to encourage reuse and by hosting a TreeMachine on campus we are taking another step in that direction. USAgain plants a tree every time the bin is filled, which is the reason they refer to the bin on our campus as a TreeMachine!
Everyone is encouraged to participate. Together we can encourage a circular economy where products are reused to conserve limited resources. Every action helps! Not only can we do our part to help plant trees but also win the top prize which could go a long way to meet our needs.
Contest dates: April 1st – April 30th
The ten (10) top collecting schools win cash prizes.
1st $1,500 2nd $800 3rd $600 4th $500 5th $450 6th $400 7th $350
8th $200 9th $100 10th $100
+ a bonus cash prize for the school that shares a creative way for promoting the drive.

Items put into the USAgain bin are not tax deductible because USAgain is a for-profit business. It’s best to take clothing in good condition to charity locations - here is a list of consignment and donation locations: https://www.dakotavalleyrecycling.org/clothing but items that may not be in good condition are perfect for this bin. All items are sorted for reselling and any unusable items are used to make rags or recycled into insulation materials. USAgain is a green company and all items put in their bins are kept out of landfills!
