Going the distance for depression!
This year there will be two cycle routes to choose from:
a 62 km route or a 125 km route,
both of which start and finish in Leenane and take in the beautiful surrounds of Connemara, Co Galway.
Cyclists of all abilities are invited and encouraged to take part and all funds raised will go towards Aware’s information, education and support services.
This will be the sixth year of the popular cycling event which has raised more than €75,000 so far for Aware. The event is gaining in popularity each year and in 2012 over 150 cyclists took part.
Registration Details:
*Please note participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an older adult.
Individual Registration Fee: €100
Team of Two Registraton Fee: €180

Special Rate for GMIT staff, students and friends!
As a GMIT staff member or GMIT student you and your friends are being offered a reduced registration fee for the 6th Annual Aware Connemara Cycle of only €55!
You may register individually or as a group.
When registering individually you will be asked if you have a voucher code. Please enter the word "festival" to avail of this limited special offer.
Sponshorship cards can be requested by emailing info@aware.ie.
To register as a group there are two steps:
- Register online as an individual with your Group Name and enter the word "festival" to avail of the special offer.
- Email fundraising@aware.ie or info@aware.ie stating 6th Annual Aware Connemara Cycle and your group name/company name in subject line and indicate the number of sponorship cards you will need for your group.
Each person in the group is encouraged to raise €100 in sponsorship or make a donation equivalent to the registration fee.
This is to enable Aware to continue to maintain and grow our support services to meet the needs of over 450,000 people experiencing depression in Ireland today.
