World war 2 Navajo code talkers

Significance
This was significant because up until this method of code talking was developed by Phillip Johnson, who was a civilian engineer and a veteran of the First World War in February of 1942. Japanese soldiers were already in the us, they had graduated from American colleges and spoke English fluently. They intercepted and decoded military messages.
