The 3 types of interfaces
Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Graphical user interfaces use windows, icons, menus and pointers, which is why they are sometimes referred to as WIMP It works when the user uses something, such as a mouse, to interact with different icons on the screen.
Command Line Interface (CLI)
This is one of the older interfaces. It works when the user types a command into the computer, in which the computer will respond.
Menu Driven Interface
A menu driven interface is mostly used on ATM's and ticket machines. It works when the user accesses a series of menus provided by the interface. These are usually accessed by buttons, normally on a touch-screen device.
