Dear Marysville Families
I'm excited that we are another week closer to the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
Once again it is not exactly the conditions that I was hoping for to begin a school year, but I feel confident about the steps that are being taken to promote health safety for everyone.
The district is continuing to update Safety and Health Protocols, balancing a safe environment that still allows for students and staff to engage with each other in a way that best supports learning.
This week the district announced that we will require all employees — including classroom teachers, school-based and central office staff — to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
We will continue with the following safety precautions
- 3 feet of physical distance at all times
- Masks worn for all students and staff
- Designated areas outside for mask breaks, where safe distance (6 feet) can be maintained
- Separate entrances for grade level arrival and dismissal
- Families wait outside during arrival and dismissal times
- Lunch outdoor eating by classroom cohort
- Daily symptom screening by families before students come to school
- On site COVID-19 testing available

Community Care Day - I’m excited to share that the Community Care Day will be returning this year. This is an opportunity to come together as a community to help beautify our school grounds and make sure it is ready for students. We’re looking forward to our volunteers to assist with weeding, mulch spreading, basic garden maintenance, and general school grounds cleaning. Please save August 28 from 9:00-11:00 AM for the Marysville Community Care Day. Everyone should wear masks and we will keep distance from those not in our households. We will have sandwiches and snacks at 11:00 AM to celebrate our hard work.
