In my opinion it would be harmful for a Poison Dart Frog to live in the desert. Poison Dart Frogs spend a lot of time living in threes in the rainforest where they get insects to eat. Poison Dart Frogs would not be able to lay their eggs and would become extinct if they lived in the desert. Poison Dart Frogs need to stay on leaves so they have a safe place to lay their eggs. There are not many trees in the desert. I feel it would be dangerous for a Poison Dart Frog to live in the desert.
Diet
The poison Dart Frog and the Amazon Horned Frogs diets are both alike and different. A Poison Dart Frogs diet is made up of spiders, beetles, and termites. Both the Poison Dart Frog and Amazon Horned Frogs eat ants. An Amazon Horned Frog will eat any animal that is smaller than itself, even mice! An Amazon Horned Frog snaps their jaw to capture their prey while an Poison Dart Frog uses their long sticky tongue. As you can see, the diet of a Poison Dart frog are both similar and different from an Amazon Horned Frog.
Life Cycle
A Poison Dart Frog goes through a life cycle. First, Poison Dart Frogs lay their eggs in water. Then, the eggs hatch and there are tadpoles. A Tadpole changes in one to two months into a little frog. It stays a little frog for about two months. It then changes into an adult frog. These adult frogs then lay more eggs. When these eggs hatch, they will travel through the same life cycle. As you can see, a frog travels through an interesting life cycle.
