Happy Holidays
I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Also, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Our last day of school is Friday, December 19th and school resumes on Monday, January 5, 2015!
Catch Up Time/Snapshots/End of 1st Semester
While on winter break, it is a great time to catch up on any classes you may be behind in. I will be getting snapshots out to everyone by Friday, December 19th. Please review your snapshot and get any work you are behind on made up, so we can start the 2015 year off on the right foot! End of 1st Semester is January 16th!
i-Ready Results
I know many of you have been asking about the i-Ready test results. I will be working on getting those sent out to you this week. You will have them in your K-mail by Friday, December 19th. Thank you for your patience!
Tutoring Time/DIBELS Tests
I will be at Centennial Hills Library on Tuesday, December 16th from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. If you need any additional help with a certain subject, please K-mail me and let me know you will be attending my tutoring session. I will also be administering DIBELS tests at this time. If you needed to reschedule, this may be a great time to get the test done. Please remember I need to have all DIBELS tests done by Thursday, December 18th.

Read to Succeed
NVVA is participating in an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme
Parks. Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before February 20, 2015 is eligible for a free admission ticket valid at one participating Six Flags Theme Parks. Students will develop a greater appreciation for books when they see that you think reading is important too. You are sure to have fun as you investigate the world of reading together! I sent you a K-mail with the reading log attached.
Track your Progress
By the end of this week, you should be around 38-40% completed in your courses.
