For Senior Students, College Application day will take place November 5th in the Media Center. It's a great opportunity for students needing assistance with the application process to receive help from school counselors and college representatives.
Junior parents and students, please be on the lookout for your IGP invitation to meet with your school counselor. Meetings will begin the week of Thanksgiving Break and continue when we return from break.
2022 IHS College Entrance Assessments for Third Year Students
During March 2022, all students in their third year of high school have the opportunity to take the ACT® or the SAT® during the school day. There is no cost to families because this test administration is being funded by the state of South Carolina.
- The SAT will be administered Wednesday, March 2 (A Day) from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
- The ACT will be administered Tuesday, March 8 (A Day) from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
Students / Families, please complete the following Google selection form by Monday, November 29, to make your selection: IHS College Entrance Assessments for Third Year Students

College Application Day
College Application Day will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 8:20-3:00pm in the back of the Media Center. Students, you have to sign up by November 2.
We will have College Representatives here to answer questions and assist you with completing your applications, as well as, waiving application fees. Military Recruiters will also be present. Use the link above to register and select the block that you would like to attend.
Attendance will be excused while you attend College Application Day. Students are responsible for making up any missed assignments for that block.
College Culture Day and College Acceptance Recognition
Students, we want to celebrate YOU! Submit a notice of College Acceptance. Pictures will be shared featured on the scrolling TVs and submitted for daily announcements on Wednesdays.

Junior IGP Conferences
virtually. During this conference we will review credits, transcripts, discuss post-secondary options and review courses for the 2022-2023 school year. The conference will take approximately 30 minutes. You will receive a postcard invitation via U.S. mail and an email calendar invitation containing the link for parents to attend the virtual conference; students will attend in person. We look forward to working with you.
Anti-Bully Week
Monday students watched a video during stinger studies and then had an opportunity to sign our school pledge acknowledging that they would help put a stop to bullying behaviors.
Tuesday students had an opportunity to participate in the #SeeMe campaign where they were able to write adjectives about themselves that they wanted the school community to "See" them for.
Wednesday students during lunch made anti-bully buttons that they could wear on Thursday.
Thursday all students were encouraged to wear Blue, the anti-bully color.
