- You can get an invisible film of bacteria that forms on your teeth.
- If plaque is left on the teeth it becomes a hard, crusty substance called tartar.
- Tartar can only be removed by a dentist or a dental hygienist.
Taking care of your teeth
- Floss everyday.
- Brush your teeth every day and night.
- If you have plaque or tartar brush your teeth after every meal.
- Use a soft bristle brush because it feels better on you gums and it does a better job at getting the food stuck between your teeth.
- Use tooth paste containing fluoride.
