Prairie Project
Willa Cather is the author of the book My Antonia. In the book she describes the prairie and this can be connected to the experience we had when we went to the prairie.
Seeing what the prairie looks like, makes me connect more with the book. When we visited the prairie, there were a lot of open space, and this is described in the book. Experiencing the open space made me understand the book better, and what the surroundings that the characters had, looks like. I felt that being in the prairie was relaxing, because of the nature. There were no buildings or any modern disturbances. It was interesting to see what Nebraska looked like before people settled down.
By the descriptions in the book, you can tell that Willa Cather knows what the nature in Nebraska looks like, because the descriptions are very detailed. The prairie and the nature are important parts of My Antonia.
