OMS Family Newsletter
Dear OMS Families,
As we round out this calendar year, we at the Online Middle School just want to recognize and thank you for all the hard work you and your family have done to help your middle schooler succeed. This second quarter has been a journey of learning, growth, and resilience. We've witnessed your child's dedication to their studies, the projects they've undertaken, and the progress they've made. As parents, your encouragement and support have played a pivotal role in their success, and for that, we extend our sincerest gratitude.
We also recognize that homework and academic challenges have been a part of this journey. It's during these moments that perseverance and determination shine the brightest. We encourage you to continue guiding your child, emphasizing the importance of staying focused and diligent, especially as they head into the final weeks of 2nd quarter in January.
As we move forward, exciting opportunities and events await us in the coming months. There will be chances for further growth, exploration, and involvement in various school activities, and we look forward to your continued participation in your child's educational journey.
Please look below for important updates and end-of-quarter deadlines. Your active involvement and communication with our faculty are crucial elements in ensuring your child's continued success.
Wishing you and your family a joyful and restful winter break.
Warm regards,
The OMS Newsletter Team

Winter Break
There will be no school during this time. School will resume on Monday, January 8th, 2024.
Monday, January 8th, 2024
Each quarter has been split into three grading cycles lasting about 3 weeks each. At the end of a grading cycle, teachers will be closing and locking some assignments. This is to better help students stay on top of their work and to focus on important tasks. If your child needs to turn something in past the last day of the cycle, please contact the appropriate teacher. They will let you know if that assignment is eligible to be turned in still.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - No School
Friday, January 26th, 2024
End of 2nd Quarter - No School
There will be no school on this day in order for teachers to grade all second quarter material. Please encourage your middle schooler to work on and turn in all Quarter 2 homework before this day.
