Transitioning to College Group

Seniors getting ready to transition to college welcome!

Going to college is exciting, and a little bit scary...

Are you going to college?? Are you the first in your family to go?? Are you nervous about what to expect, if you will fit in, meeting new people, organizing your time, moving out on your own, what you want to do for your career, how to succeed and not totally freak out??!!


DePaul University Education & Counseling Center is offering a special transitioning to college group on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30p May 3-31. This is a time for you to get together with others who are having the same experience as you; a time to talk, share, and learn how to manage this next exciting part of your life.


It always feels good to have a group of peers to be genuine with; who you do not have to be anyone but yourself with; who will share and give feedback as you work through life changes and challenges.


Fee is $10 per session, but no one will be denied due to inability to pay.

The Education and Counseling Center is located in DePaul University's Education Building at 2247 N. Halsted St. (Intersection of Halsted and Belden Ave.), suite 100.


There is free parking located along Halsted St. and zoned parking (that is free till' 7 PM) along Belden Ave. If you have trouble with street parking, there is free 5-hr parking at the Lincoln Garage located at: 2316 N. Lincoln Ave.


We are also accessible via public transportation. The Halsted St #8 Bus stops right in front of our building at Halsted/Belden. If you take the red line, purple line or brown line, your stop is 'Fullerton'. Once you depart the train station, walk two blocks east to Halsted and one block south to Belden.
