About the Workshop:
Learn how iPads can be used during center time to support Literacy Centers and Math Stations. Learn how to evaluate apps to weed out the good from the bad and create student activity sheets to guide them through
assignments. Get started right away with some tried and true apps that meet Common Core standards.

As a result of attending, participants will:
- Understand effective ways to use iPads during math and literacy centers
- Develop strategies for developing their own student activities using iPad apps
- Have a comprehensive list of iPad Apps for Literacy and Math and resources on how to use them
- Learn how to evaluate and use iPads Apps to meet Common Core Standards

About the Presenter
Liz is an experienced educator with over twenty years of teaching experience. She began her career as a Special Educator in Boston, MA where she worked with middle and high school students with behavioral, emotional and learning challenges. Throughout her career Liz has served as a Classroom Teacher, a Special Educator/ Learning Specialist and Computer Educator. She has experience working in rural, suburban and inner city schools and has worked with students in grades K-12. She has also worked as a technology trainer for the Nashua School District
where she led district wide professional development activities for teachers K-12 and helped teachers integrate technology into their curriculum. Liz is currently a Digital Learning Specialist in Westford, MA where she works in a coaching role with K-2 teachers and students. She holds a M.Ed in Educational Technology from Emmanuel College and is certified in both Elementary and Special Education.
