FAFSA event for seniors - Dec. 8
See translation information below / Consulte la información de traducción a continuación.
Hello senior and senior families,
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) event is happening this Wednesday, December 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Spring Lake Park High School. Enter through Door #1 and head to room B109. Even if you didn't register for this event, we highly encourage seniors and their families to attend to get one-on-one help with FAFSA.
If you're struggling with completing FAFA, don't know where to begin or just have questions before submitting, this event is for you. We know financial aid is an important determining factor for many post-secondary options and we want to support you in making this process as smooth as possible.
Please bring the following if you're planning to attend:
Student and parent Social Security Numbers
Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
Student and Parent 2020 federal income tax returns, including W2s and all schedules and attachments. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
An FSA ID to sign electronically for both student and one parent. Having this done in advance will help with the process but can also be completed during the session.
For any questions, please reach out to Jennifer Blaido, career and college counselor, at jblaid@district16.org.
We hope to see you on Wednesday!
