Lausannia Concert

Elder Performing Arts Center

Friday, April 15th, 8:30-9:30am

Lausanne Collegiate School, West Massey Road, Memphis, TN, United States

"The Elements"

We are excited to present the concert entitled, "The Elements." You may have heard me talk about how we study the elements of music - melody, harmony, form, rhythm and timbre. This year we're tying it together with the classical elements of earth, water, fire and wind. All Lower School students, PK-4, will perform at the concert on Friday, April 15 beginning at 8:30am. Early Childhood children will perform first.

What to Wear

All children should wear dress-up clothes for the concert.

  • Girls - dresses or skirts with pretty blouse, nice shoes
  • Boys - nice pants or slacks, collared shirt with tie, nice shoes

No jeans please.

I don't recommend that your child wear a jacket or sweater during the performance. It can get pretty warm on stage.

Practice, Practice, Practice

I'm including the link to the recorder music for the 4th grade students practice at home. The kids will need to memorize this song for the concert. They should have the music memorized by April 12th.

All of the 2nd graders are learning to play the steel drum part for the concert. For those that would like to be considered to perform it on April 15, I'm including a link to the music to practice at home. They will need to have this music memorized by April 12th.

For Early Childhood students, I'm also including a link so they can practice the songs at home.
