New Teacher Academy
Every Piece Is Important
You are a valuable "piece" to our Edgewood Family! We have provided some resources to help ensure that you have a smooth transition and have the support that you need to use and integrate technology into your classroom! Below are some resources. Other resources will be provided at your campuses.
Pair Your Keyboard
Every teacher at EISD receives an iPad to use in the classroom as an instructional tool! After you have gone through the configuration process, you will need to pair the bluetooth keyboard to the iPad. Here is a video tutorial to walk you through the process.
Projecting From an iPad
Every classroom is equipped with an Apple TV that will allow you to mirror your iPad onto a projector for whole class instruction! If you are not familiar with AirPlay, review the resource below.
Konica Minolta Printer Badge Authentication Process
Each teacher/employee MUST complete this procedure to log-in to the Konica Minolta Copiers. The first part of the procedure will only have to be done the first time that you log-in, thereafter copies and printouts can be accessed by swiping your employee badge or by logging in at the printer.
Printing from an iPad (Page Scope)
In order to print to the Konica Minolta Copiers, you will need to follow the setup and settings in the resource provided below. (You will need to add the IP address, which can be retrieved from your Instructional Technology Facilitator) or email email@example.com for the information.
Office 365 and OneDrive
All computer users are encouraged to save their files to their district OneDrive account which offers 1TB of cloud storage. This makes it easy to access your files from your work computer, home computer, or mobile device 24/7! Saving files to jump drives or emailing them to yourself is not necessary. Watch the video tutorials below and review our resources page to understand the ins and outs of OneDrive!

Help Desk - Technology Work Order
If a technology item such as your desktop, Internet, iPad, printer, phone, etc. is not working, you will need to submit a work order in Help Desk. The video tutorial below explains how to submit a work order.
Note: The Instructional Technology Facilitator at your campus can help with basic troubleshooting, but it is your responsibility to submit requests to the Technology Department if the ITF is not available to assist.
