2023 - 2024 STUDENT REGISTRATION GUIDE

We want to thank you for joining us here to see what Raney is all about and to register for your classes next year. Before you go any further, please watch our video giving you a snapshot into what Raney has to offer. After watching this video, please follow the steps below to register for school and your classes. We look forward to seeing you soon.

STEPS TO COMPLETING REGISTRATION AND CLASS SELECTION

To all Knight Families,


Thank you for your flexibility and patience during this unprecedented year as we work to get information out to students about how and when to complete 2023 -2024 registration and course selection. We will be visiting our feeder schools to walk them through this process. Please follow the steps below to walk your through the registration process.

STEP 1 (ONLINE REGISTRATION)

Beginning April 1st, 2023 Parents are required to complete the Online Registration process. If you have already done this, you may go on to Step 2. If you have not done this please see the options below to complete the registration process. Parent Connect will also provide you with access to your student's grades, attendance, and more throughout the school year! Please call the school if you need your PIN #.


Option 1:

Complete on a computer by visiting Parent Connect at https://parentconnect.cnusd.k12.ca.us


Option 2:

Download the Q Parent Connection app and complete online registration from your mobile device. Steps to Download App CLICK HERE.

STEP 2 (IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS)

Make sure that your Shot records, Health Action Plan (*if Applicable), and Medication Orders (*if Applicable) are up to date.


Students new to Corona-Norco are required to submit updated immunization records during enrollment.


Current Corona-Norco students who will be enrolling as a 7th grader for 2023-2024 must submit a copy of their T-DAP and 2nd Varicella to the office of their current elementary school.

Students will NOT be allowed to attend the first day of school without proof.

STEP 3 (INFORMATION ABOUT CLASSES)

Please review the attached Class Descriptions to learn what each class offers here at Raney. Every student will be enrolled in:


  • Language Arts
  • Math
  • History
  • Science
  • PE
  • One Elective- If you are in IB STEM or AVID, your elective has been chosen for you.

STEP 4 (CLASS SELECTION)

Click the appropriate link below (Incoming 7th or 8th grade) to access the grade level class selection form. There will be a choice of Honors or Non-Honors for each class. In Step 3, a description of Honors and Non-Honors was discussed. In the Google form below you will choose your core classes and an elective class.

It is important to note that this does not guarantee acceptance. Every attempt will be made to accommodate student requests however, course availability is subject to change based on staffing and student interest. Math classes will be assigned according to district criteria. Honors classes will take into consideration parent requests, academic readiness, and teacher referral.

Raney offers six classes in a day. This might be different from what you experienced at your elementary school. During a day at Raney, you will rotate to your 6 different classes instead of staying in one class all day. You will also have 6 different teachers during the day. See our Bell Schedule below of how your day will be structured.

DEVICE EXPECTATIONS FOR 2023 - 2024 SCHOOL YEAR

CNUSD is now a 1:1 school district. Our expectation at Raney is that you bring your Chromebook to school everyday charged and ready to use. If you have questions regarding technology on campus, please reach out to us at 951-736-3221.

Raney SWAG

  • Raney SWAG Spiritwear is highly encouraged. Our "Why" for this is to build unity, connection to campus, culture and climate, build confidence and school spirit!
  • Students can purchase a variety of Raney SWAG spiritwear shirts and style at the Raney school site.
  • We also have Friday Blue Out Days along with AVID / College Wednesdays where we dress to show school spirit.
