#BearcatPride!
Good evening, JSE families,
JSE thanks our Veterans! We have joined the Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge:
More than 50 districts and individual schools, including JSE, have joined IDOE in this initiative sending holiday greeting cards to military deployed around the world. Thank you for organizing this Mrs. Asher!
Next week, on Veterans Day we will honor our Veterans through the leadership of our student council students and sponsors, Mrs. Stokes and Mr. Dickey. We will NOT be having our annual Veterans Day program at JSE, in lieu of this special program, we will be sending Veterans appreciation letters to show our respect and gratitude for their service. In addition, please your child join in wearing RED on Veterans Day for "Remember Everyone Deployed". An information letter will be sent home today with your child, we ask that you complete the form and send it back in with your child by Thursday of this week. See the information below.
This week a Successful Learner from each class will be recognized by Mrs. Barnes for exemplifying the Successful Learner Characteristic for October: Be a Self-Directed Learner. In November we focus on what it means and looks like to Think Interdependently. And we are well on our way through our technology Canvas discussion boards!
Please remember students have no school this Friday and this day is NOT an eLearning Day but it will be a great day to read a great book and practice those math facts! Keep your kids engaged with links on Canvas.
We are grateful for your partnership,
Mrs. Barnes
