Character Reflection/Analysis
.
Macbeth
We have the choice to pick any character from one selection we have read this year and I am choosing Macbeth. I am choosing him because his story was very interesting and suspenseful. Macbeth made unwise choices by doing everything his wife told him instead of putting a stop to her madness. He committed murder for her, and he continuously lied for her and she did not even care how he felt. Instead of just sticking to his principles and deciding to do what is right he just continued to put his life at stake. I see him as a character who continually makes poor decisions that reflect his inner corruption. His wife is his poison she is the reason he acts and thinks in such a weird and crazy way. Macbeth went a little delusional at a dinner that was hosted at their home and started hallucinating showing his state of mind. Macbeth is a round character because he changed a whole lot in the story. He went from being sensual and being stable to just lost, insane, and controlled. This story is full of dark and strange events of a world turned topsy-turvy by foul and unnatural crimes. Like when Macbeth’s wife lures poor Macbeth into murdering Duncan and seizing the crown. For her own pleasures and she does not even care about the effects that it is having on her husband. Macbeth’s murder of Duncan represents the point of no return, after which Macbeth is forced to continue butchering his subjects to avoid the consequences of his crime.
