Christmas Jumper Day

Thank you for your support for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day. The children all look very festive! If you still need to make a donation you can through the link in the button below.

Bike Rack

As part of their work to address environmental issues caused by transport, the Eco Warriors wrote to FOSS to ask for a bike rack for school. This was agreed and has been purchased, and is being sited on the school field, next to the playground gate. We anticipate that installation will be completed during next week. If your child would like to cycle or scoot to school from the start of next term, they will be able to do so. Please note that cycles and scooters should be locked when on school premises, as we can accept no responsibility for any that are stolen or damaged.

FOSS Christmas Fayre

Thank you to everyone who organised, contributed to, or attended the Christmas Fayre last week. This was a wonderful occasion with a lovely atmosphere, and we believe that FOSS has raised a lot of money for our children. Final totals will be shared soon.

Congratulations to Mr Leonard who won the golf voucher in the blind auction.

Willow Nativity

Children in Willow class will do their nativity play in church on the afternoon of Tuesday 14th December. As there has been a spike in Coronavirus cases locally, we have to limit numbers at the event and so are just inviting parents of children in Willow Class this year.

Christingle

The Christingle will be held in church next Wednesday, 15th December, at 6pm. All children and families are welcome to attend, but we are not opening up the event to other members of the community or general public this year. Please note that government regulations relating to the wearing of facemasks will apply. Sadly, we have lost sponsorship for our Christingles this year and are therefore unable to offer them to the whole school. Only children in Maple class will make a Christingle, but all other children will do related activities.

Remote Learning

You will have received a Google Form questionnaire about remote learning today. Please do try to submit a response by next Friday, which we will use to inform our provision should we find ourselves having to deliver remote learning through another lockdown.

Eco Warriors

Our Eco Warriors have developed a new action plan for this year. They would like to develop actions that promote awareness of water use, transportation, and Fair Trade.

Illness

Please remember that if your child has sickness or diarrhoea, they need to remain off school until 48 hours after the last episode.

School Lunches

Please see the Autumn Lunch menu below. Next week we will be on Week 2 of the menu.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are now 4 choices, either the hot dinner, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato with a choice of toppings or a sandwich. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.

The Spring Menu for after Christmas has also been released. Please see the options below.

Autumn 2021 Lunch Menu

From 8th September - 18th December 2021. This is our menu for September - children now have a vegetarian option to choose from as well as a jacket potato or a sandwich.
