Principal's Message - Nov. 12th (English)
Happy Wednesday!
Thank you to all who helped put the AMAZING Hispanic Heritage Festival together. This event takes a TON of work, but it is well worth the effort. It is very well attended and everyone has a fantastic time eating the delicious food and watching our extremely talented little dancers! So many people are responsible for putting this special evening together, but I want to say a special thank you to the following people for spending countless hours coordinating the event and working with the dancers: Lizbeth Duran, Jakeline Lemus, Erika Garibay, Sofia Zapata, Iris Valdez, Griselda Talavera, Gloria Aparicio, and Manuela Bosteder. Thank you also to the people who procured items, sold tickets, set up, decorated, cleaned up after the event, cooked the food, and did a million other things to make this happen! Once again, we see that our community is critical to our success as a school! We are a richly diverse school in so many ways and it is important to celebrate this!
Have a wonderful week!

Development News!!
Crab Feed/Auction
It's that time of year to start thinking about auction/crab feed procurements/donations. Each family is responsible for supplying an auction item valued at $100. You can either pay the fee directly to the school or these items can be donated from a business. Some examples include: gift certificates to an experience, museum, family outing, or a professional service. Do you own a business or know someone that owns a business? This is an opportunity to ask for a donation. Businesses are often willing to donate as they can write the donation off on their taxes. Procurement/donation forms will be available soon. We are still in the process of securing a location and finalizing a date, so we will communicate this as soon as it is available. This is a very important fundraiser for our school. Your participation and assistance will help us reach our $100,000 fundraising goal.
Annual Fund Appeal
Recently, we sent out letters to each family talking about our Annual Fund Appeal that just kicked off. This year we are hoping to raise $150,000 for this fund. The funds raised help offset the costs of the curriculum upgrades and new music/band program that we rolled out this school year. As school families, you make a great sacrifice of time and money to send your children to Holy Rosary School. Catholic schools are unique as the partnership and dedication to student growth is a shared mission. We are asking you to make a donation to the Annual Fund Appeal. We are hoping for 100% support from families. A one time donation can be made or please consider a monthly pledge. Consider giving $25 a month for ten months which provides a total donation of $250. No amount is too small to make a difference. Thank you for your consideration in helping our school. We are about to turn an important milestone and your help can make a difference in the quality of the program we can offer!
