A simple way to improve your life: Gratitude
Grat·i·tude /ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od/: The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Gratitude has been scientifically proven to improve a person’s life. Here are some ways you or your child could benefit from practicing gratitude:
• Improve relationships
• Improve physical health
• Improve physiological health
• Reduce aggression
• Improve sleep
• Foster resilience
• Improve self esteem
In the Ohlone Wellness Center, we are encouraging students to focus on positive things in their lives that bring them joy by identifying things they are grateful for. Over this Thanksgiving season, try to reflect on a few things you are grateful for each day and notice how it makes you feel.
