The Karns High School AFJROTC is sponsoring the ASVAB Career Exploration Exam on Wednesday, 8 Feb 2023, from 8:30 - 11:45 in the Karns HS Library. This opportunity is open to all Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors on a "first come - first served" basis. There is an excellent career interest inventory survey involved with the test that can support students in figuring out future career goals and plans. If interested, please have your student see our College & Career Counselor, Lyndsey Donnell, Lt Col O'Donnell, or MSgt DuBrule by the end of the day on Monday, February 6th.

**Students who score a 31 or higher on this test will be one step closer to being considered a ReadyGrad which can help with Early Grad applications for next year.

Morning Announcement Highlights

Morning Announcements will be link posted on the Karns HS website home. This button takes you to that website. Visit it regularly to stay up to date on the most current morning announcements.

Remote Learning Drill

Parents,

The state passed a law, Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-2-139, and due to this new law, we will need to verify our students are ready for remote learning, should the need present itself.

This is going to be a three-week process with one task per week. The first week is about ACCESS.

ACCESS (this task must be completed outside of school)

  • Teachers have been asked to post a link to a Google form in their Canvas pages. Students will go home and click this link. In the form, they will find a link to an Internet Speed Test. They will run that test and then enter the numbers into the Google Form. If your student doesn't have internet at home for their Chromebook, they need to fil the form out at school. We created a way for them to report they don't have internet.

  • Thank you for your support through this process. Steps 2 and 3 will take place at school.

  • This week you will receive a link to a BrightBytes survey. This is done once a year and we appreciate your response.
