Climate: The climate varies throughout the country, by region, but is generally hot in the summers, and have cool to mild winters. In the north, the summers are hot and the winters are cold. In the middle regions, there are warmer summers and cool winters. In the southern tip of Italy, there are hot summers and mild winters.

Economy and Exports
North: In the north, there are businesses and factories. Major industrial exports from northern Italy include steel, iron, and precious metals like silver and gold. Also, one of the most famous cities in the world known for fashion, Milan, is in Northern Italy.
South: In the south, agriculture is a major factor in the economy. In this way, Italy can almost provide all their own food. Also, they export foods such as wine, cheese, wheat, potatoes, corn, rice, fruits, and olive oil.

Arts and Literature
Art: Some of the most famous artists, inventors, and sculptors have come from Italy. For example, Leonardo DA Vince, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael. Some of their most famous works of art are; Vince's Mona Lisa, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, Donatello's St. George, and Raphael's Mond Crucifixion. All of these artists are remembered centuries later for their great works of art. Also, in modern times, fashion is considered an art. Italy has some of the best and most successful fashion designers, such as Gucci and Versace.
Literature: In Italy, there have been many writers, but most of them have been poets or religious writers. There have also been a few political satyrs. For example, Dante, a political critic, was one of the first writers to use the Italian language instead of Latin, which was where Italy adopted Italian because then it was then a written language.

The People: In the Italian constitution, there are the basic rights of freedom; speech, assembly, press, and religion. The minimum age for senatorial elections is 25 years old, but all other election ages are 18. Most elections are clean and fair, and there is a high voter turnout, but in recent years this has lowered.
