Yamhill-Carlton Intermediate School

Hello YCIS Families--

Congratulations we have made it to Winter Break! A big shout out to our teachers and parents for making remote learning possible. And of course, to all YCIS students for taking ownership in their learning. Yes, we want our students back in the building but until that time comes the priority has and remains the educating and well being of all our students.

We have had an eventful week leading up to Winter Break. Below are some pictures that were sent in for our Holiday Dress up your Pet Contest. Thanks to all of are students and pets for their participation in this event.

We also had a Spirit Week this past week where staff and students dressed up in different themes on each day. Below are examples of YCIS staff members in their ugly sweaters. The week culminated with a holiday themed assembly and special YCIS happy dance (intentionally hidden at bottom of this page).

And that brings us to the end of 2020. I hope that you and your families are able to spend some quality time together over the break without having to worry about turning your cameras on, unmuting yourself and waiting for the host to let you in from the waiting room. We turn our attention to 2021 and will eagerly await to reconnect with our students on January 4th.

And to all a good night,

Matt Wiles
