Learn more at this 2-part lineage workshop! Ladies over 18 years of age and prospective members are welcome to see what it's all about. Part One covers the basics. Part Two will provide time to work on your application, paper or electronic. Bring your laptop and known family history information. Workshops will be at the Henry County Community Foundation (elevator available). Handouts provided! No charge-Free! Light snacks and drinks provided. At this workshop, we will cover the basics...completing a pedigree chart, how to find a Revolutionary War Patriot, genealogical research, proving correct lineage, proving correct service, and DAR requirements.

I have been a member of NSDAR/INDAR/Sarah Winston Henry Chapter (New Castle) since March 2015. In May 2017, I completed the third course of DAR's Genealogy Education Program (GEP). I serve as a Trustee on the Board of Directors for the Henry County Historical Society and am the founding member of the East Central Indiana Genealogy Alliance (formed in January 2016). Since mid 2015, I have been the county genealogist for Henry County, a volunteer position through the Indiana Genealogical Society, and I am the vice president of the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
