Castle Rock Communiqué

We Love Our Knights!

March 12, 2021 (Week twenty-nine)

Happy Friday, Castle Rock Families!

It has been a very busy week, and I realize the optional return of students to campus is on the minds of many of our families. We want our Castle Rock parents to be able to make a well-informed decision that is best for your family and student(s).

Today, you should have received the following message from the WVUSD, Educational Services department:

Please review the information below regarding the Spring 2021 Elementary Reopening.

On AERIES Parent Portal please indicate whether your child will attend school in-person for the Spring Reopening, 5 days per week from April 19, 2021, to May 27, 2021. (5 days per week subject to change based on capacity limitations due to adequate spacing of students) OR continue remote learning from April 19, 2021, to May 27, 2021.

If schools do not receive a response by March 18, 2021, we will assume that your child will continue with remote learning (Distance Learning from home). Please see the attached video on how to access Aeries Parent Portal to complete your spring registration.

Any students returning to in-person instruction must have their immunizations up to date.

Click on the link to view the recording of the Elementary Spring Reopening Parent Webinar

Also, parents may view the recorded webinar in Mandarin (or any language). Directions are on the link.

Please refer to the Elementary Spring 2021 Reopening Parent Handbook for more information. The Handbook provides additional information on the Reopening protocols and safety guidelines.

Castle Rock will provide additional information specific to the school site for reopening preparation.

Good things this week at Castle Rock:

We had a great time recognizing students for their accomplishments during today's IB Awards Assembly for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students!
