Dropping Off Items at School
Dropping Off Items at School:
In the event you need to enter the FHS building for a meeting or to drop off a forgotten item for a student, all visitors will need to use the Fenton High School Main entrance off of Shiawassee Avenue.
Reminders from the Office:
- Door Dash, or any other food delivery, is NOT permitted.
- Calling early for a dismissal allows time for the pass to be delivered AHEAD OF TIME (at passing time), since your child's departure time may be DURING a class, when PE is outside at the stadium, or some other departure delaying situation. This allows your child to show the pass to the teacher and leave when he/she needs to.
- All students should CHECK OUT in the Main Office, even if he/she has asked a parent to "call them out." All SICK students should also report to the office - for safety sake, don't linger in the bathroom or just text home and never tell anyone at the school.
- Students are NOT allowed to go to vehicles during the school day without Administrative approval. Students should NOT treat vehicles like a locker for lunch money, medication, school projects, coats, wallets, etc.
- Read the Weekly Update (sent every Friday) for important updates & deadlines!!!
Student Parking - Don't Get Towed
- Students should park in the spot that matches his/her sticker. Use the Parker Knarker QR to report violators.
- FHS uses a third party to tow vehicles not registered to park on campus. Tow trucks will begin patrolling lots.
Positivity Project: Theme of the Week: Creativity
This week our school community will be focusing on the character strength of Creativity. Creativity means you come up with new and original ways to think about and do things.
Creative people can look at the world in original ways. They are open to new experiences, and have an imaginative and independent thought process. They generate lots of different ideas and can pursue them with energy and enthusiasm. Creativity is a process that takes courage. Anytime you share your original ideas with the world, you risk being criticized or even ostracized.
On a group level, creativity is vital. It helps us solve seemingly impossible problems, create something we never knew we wanted, or simply see the world in a new way. Technological examples include the printing press, refrigeration, electricity, automobiles, and the internet. Just think of what we’d be missing without Renaissance art, Enlightenment thinking, Harlem Renaissance jazz, or hip-hop emerging from the South Bronx in the 1970s and 80s.
To practice and encourage the character strength of creativity with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2) where together you will watch a video, read a quote and talk about the answers to three questions.
